The Office of External Relations-Phoenix promotes the UA to business leaders and government officials in Phoenix and throughout Maricopa County. It is especially involved in coordinating the expansion of the Phoenix campuses of the UA College of Medicine and the UA College of Pharmacy.

Judy Bernas, Associate Vice President, External Relations-Phoenix, is a UA alumna (Journalism/Sociology ’88). She has served as Associate Vice President for UA federal relations, Director of government relations for the Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC), and AHSC Associate Director of the Office of Public Affairs.
