Several units offer a tour of the facilities where many of UA's achievements happen. Learn about UA's accomplishments in everything from athletics to astronomy to art while you visit these points of interest.
Arizona Public Media KUAT-TV/Radio Tour
Want to see how Arizona Public Media puts it all together? Come and take a tour of our radio and television studios. See where 'Arizona Illustrated' (the locally produced news magazine show) is filmed along with the KUAT-FM Classical Music and KUAZ NPR & Jazz Music radio stations. Well get a behind the scenes view of production control and master control where all the local, PBS & NPR programs are broadcast from.
Special Considerations:
Reservations are required. Tours are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Maximum group size is 15, but multiple groups can run concurrently.

Arizona State Museum Tours
Arizona State Museum offers adult group tours during regular business hours Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. by appointment. Advance notice is necessary. Free Campus Arboretum Tree Tours
The American Association of Botanical Gardens and Arboreta recognized the collection of trees on the UA Campus as a national Arboretum in 2002. Since 2009, the UA Campus Arboretum has also earned and maintained recognition for its quality by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree Campus USA. Please contact us to schedule one of many docent-guided tree tours to learn more about our trees which feature UA Heritage Trees, Medicinal Plants, Edible Landscapes, A Tree Scavenger Hunt and much more.
Special Considerations:
Tours meet at the Fountain west of Old Main at 8:00 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. Tours last 30-45 minutes. Walking is involved and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water. To ensure your place on the tour, reservations are encouraged. McKale Center Tour
Groups from schools, clubs and other organizations can take a historic journey through the home of the University of Arizona's most elite student-athletes as they tour McKale Memorial Center.

Middle School Campus Tour
The University of Arizona Visitor Center hosts student-led walking tours of main campus for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. These tours expose young students to the UA early and inspire them to think about including college in their future goals. Offered every Friday at 10 a.m. during the fall and spring semesters.

UA Public Art Tours
Art appreciators or docents from the UA Museum of Art lead a journey of distinct works including sculptures, fountains, functional exhibits, and tile mosaics-all located on main campus. These tours are FREE and offered this semester on Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, and Dec. 15, 2010. Starting at 10:00 a.m., each tour lasts approximately 1-1/2-hours and begins at the UA Museum of Art located at 1031 N. Olive Rd.
Special Considerations:
Reservations are required and can be made by calling 621-5130. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We suggest parking at the Park Avenue Garage (Park Avenue/Speedway Blvd.) and using the pedestrian underpass to access the UA Museum of Art. Regular garage rates apply.
Bring a hat, sunscreen and don't forget to wear comfortable walking shoes!

University of Arizona Herbarium
Located in the historical Herring Hall, the UA herbarium has more than 400,000 collections of pressed plants, seeds, cones, fungi, lichens, and mosses. It holds approximately 60,000 Mycological specimens; 15,000 species of seeds and it is the largest herbarium in Arizona. Recently renovated, it pays homage to its early beginnings as a gymnasium and drama department; now housing the Herbarium's remarkable collections and the Campus Arboretum offices.

Facility is open to public 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. M-F. Tours by appointment.

University of Arizona Museum of Art (UAMA)
The Museum of Art, located on the edge of UA campus near the intersection of Park Ave. and Speedway Blvd., offers docent-guided tours of UAMA's superb collection from the 15th century Retablo of Ciudad Rodrigo to modern masterpieces by O'Keeffe, Hopper, and Pollock. Reservations are required. Please telephone or email two weeks in advance of tour date. Tours for school children are free. Adult tours require a $5 per person admission/tour charge. Tours last approximately one hour. Special topics may be requested.
