Community Outreach

External Relations provides support to the community through four campus-wide charitable programs.

UA4Food brings together the University family including faculty, staff, students and local merchants to raise food and monetary donations supporting the Community Food Bank’s Child Hunger & Nutrition Programs. (www.ua4food.arizona.edu )

Cats in the Community Day is the University of Arizona’s signature volunteer event including faculty, staff, students and local merchants. Every year the University selects a different non-profit organization to receive an “extreme makeover” including maintenance, repair, and artistic enhancements. The project is led by a cross-campus planning team, and many units and areas of campus are join the effort. The University’s advanced level graphic design students create and implement the artistic concepts for the project. (www.catsincommunity.arizona.edu)

Daughters on Campus Outreach Program provides outreach to the community with a day of activities at UA for 60-100 young women from under-represented high schools.
